y cable advice sought

I have just got hold of a vintage analog phaser fx box and on the back it has a mono input and a stereo out. I have the input of the fx unit connected to a mono out from my A16 Ultra, but I need to make a Y cable to connect the phasers stereo output to 2 mono ins on the A16U. I have made various types of cables in the past, but never a Y cable.
I did find a site that has a guide how to do this
http://colomar.com/Shavano/ringtip.html
But I was hoping someone here could confirm that this would be the correct wiring for use with my phaser fx unit so I could run it back in to Scope via my A16 Ultra and make use of the phase stereo panning that it can do...apparently
The guide on this site uses a single core cable, i.e...shield and 1 inner wire. But I only have 2 core cable, so would the following wiring diagram taken from later on that website be the suggested way to wire it with the 2 core cable.
Thanks for any advice
