Okay. I contacted CreamWare hotline and they are checking my problem (see my other posting). Anyway, one´s for sure: they can reproduce the bug (XTC not able to load PS drivers for Wav, Asio or Midi, system is abolutely soundcardless) and they say that there´s a problem with XTC and PS, at least with PS' hardware revision from about April 2000 (which I have, of course). They are checking if they can provide a patch or even exchange my PS for a newer hardware revision.

The solution is covered in the faq at http://faq.infinitevortex.com

Simply use the XTC card as an SRB for your Luna until the next OS3.0 comes out. Then you will have all the outputs available and you can continue working in the same way you have.

very good FAQ page !!!
I was thinking about a 'troubleshooting' page on Huicholity, but your page is better !
I will link it...

Thanks, I haven't announced it "officially" since I'm still working out all the details. I'm pretty sure most issues are covered though, if you think something is missing or wrong, please let me know!

No, it's a different problem, not Luna 2 related but PS related and apparently only for certain hardware revisions. Creamware support just called me, they are gonna change my PS for a brand new Luna 2 with PS STS3000 activation key, cause there's no way how my PS board would work together with the XTC. They have being testing this since yesterday. My hw revision is from 20. April 2000, so if somebody has this one and is thinking to buy XTC, contact CreamWare (Germany) first. Ask for Torsten.
Cheers.

... and if somebody's wondering why this problem would appear only in connection with the PS and not with the Luna II, allthough they are actually the same board, then remember that when this PS hardware revision (April 2000) was issued, Luna II didn't exist yet. The board that is now common to Luna II, PS and Elektra does not necessarily have to be this one (and it is not, according to CreamWare support).
Cheers.

Okay, just in case that somebody wants to know:
My new PS board arrived. CW replaced my old one (HW revision April 2000) for this one (HW revision July 2001)for free, which is actually quite cool! I´m able to use PulsarXTC with PS as IO board now, which just wouldn´t work with the old PS board. But still a few problems:
1) PS has to be the first card, else midi drivers won´t load.
2) There´s a file called "projectxtc.ini" that stores the IO and ASIO settings one can do in the Cubase ASIO settings menue. For some reason, one has to delete this file each time before starting Cubase, else no IOs will be available at all. It´s sort of weird, I guess that the whole assignment of IOs in Windows is messy, cause windows sees two cards each having IOs (perhaps because of the STDM connection) but actually only one of the cards has IOs. The result is that Windows reports that the PulsarXTC Ios can not be used because of an unknown error. Well, I suppose that this bug somehow also appears when the projectxtc.ini gets loaded and windows/cubase try to assign IOs to the XTC inszed of the PS, and then , of course, BANG, CRASH, etc...

Cheers to all.
