Music for a short trickfilm

No Scope involved at all. Only "real" instruments involved. For this song I used POD X3 for recording everything with a Sennheiser MD421 or direct into the box.
I like the way these old dynamic mics sound. I have used too much condensators before I guess. I got that violin soud right out of the box... O.K. I'm not a violonist, but all that sounds are dirty in a way I like it. All instruments played by myself

A funny and nice little creation, and the sound is just fine.
Many of those old, dynamic mikes are great to get that texture
in recordings. Natural EQ..
I guess it will go very well with the film.
What did you use for the base-part ?

It was just a quick done idea today b.t.w. There are some bad mixing-mistakes in & it's still too wild, but the trickfilm is a wild one too.
Instruments used:
- Maultrommel
- E-Bass
- electric guitar
- cajon
- talking drum
- Violin
- banjo

Awesome,
I thought you didn' play but mixed and mastered.
The cajon is my favorite BTW.
Was that Flu-Liq on the violin or natural detuning?

Thanks!
I played percussion in a folk band for a long time. I recorded the cajon after my girlfriend came into my room and said "Now it's enough, I have to do some work!" That was, when I just recorded two phrases of that FluLiq-in-my-ears violin.
So I played the cajon extremely quiet with a earphone-kable in my hand hitting the wood to get the real 'smack' sound and positioned the mic extremely close.
Was that Flu-Liq on the violin or natural detuning?
I can give you some "FluLiq-in-my-hands- lessons" for the violin if needed
I worked hard to get the right detuning sound - since FluLiq everything needs to get the right Flu or Liq or both in my world

... If you wait some month you can buy my new lifestyle-book: "A better living with FluLiq" or my instrumental teaching book "Cool detuning for the violin - easily done"

Nice production, I like it.
Sounds that it will be a funny movie.
I hope your girlfriend will be more patient in the future
