AUX Delayed To Death

Cubase 4 MIDI Tracked drums using LSAD w/ GVI into VDAT.

Unfortunately the bass is recorded in real time and I lose a couple of notes since the Drums are quantized.

But I love the sound of VDAT so much, I will risk the embarrassment.

SpaceF's AUX Delay is so sick. :o

I hope you delay freaks like it.

The drummer was a figment of my imagination who displayed perfect meter.

Sequencers are the perfect tool for practicing bass lines with.

I tried an analog synth, Upright Bass, and even a great Jaco fretless sound but Prowave's duophonic synth bass w/ a Pitch Shifter won the day.

Monophonic bass lines won't allow the player to hold down a low end note while hitting higher notes.

Still using the junkie ass headphones for referencing.

Glad you guys liked it.

impressive, this is really good :) my only critic would be to drive the bass a little crazier.. good stuff X4L

Jimmy, wtf is LSAD w/ GVI ??
My keyboard-playing son, Jens, asked me, and I had no idea!

LSAD probably Larry Saunders Acoustic Drums (sorry if my spelling is wrong, its just what i seem to remember).

GVI is probably Giga Virtual Instrument, a version of gigasampler being run as a plugin.

Thank You Brotha's.

I am actually recording dry direct outputs into VDAT, then once all tracks are recorded I add the effects through the AUX's.

I really like these virtual comps from DAS. My mixes lacked something until I tried using the comp/limiter. The bass and the drums just became glued together groovewise.

This is so much fun. :D
