XITE-1 first price listing

found this:

http://www.thomann.de/de/soniccore_xite_1.htm

2899,- € at least a bit better than the 3200€ uvp price.

for comparision
a powercore x8 cost 1500€ @Thomann

so I think the XITE-1 is really well priced.

-It has ~4 times or more power than the X8
-the stronger chips with higher resolution
-much more plug-ins in pack: powercore is just 14. scope is almost every creamware plug-in: you seem to get the same stuff like buying a pro card(M&M,S&S Pack) + the new upcoming fx.
-not just a vst dsp bootser, but an independent VA studio blackbox.
-a freely available sdk and many freeware tools are also a +value

I think its a great deal. :D

and in the Queen's English: http://www.thomann.de/gb/soniccore_xite_1.htm

So, this thing is approximately 35 times stronger than my Pulsar 1?!

In the immortal words of Slim Pickens: Yeeeeeehaw!

On the German Thomann site: 2899 EUR (inc VAT + Shipping)

On the English Thomann Site: 2699 EUR (inc VAT + Shipping)

On the German Sonic Core site: 3198 EUR

On the English Sonic Core page: 2698 EUR

Why the savings if you buy from the UK?

I think German sales tax is 19%, and in the UK it's 17.5% so that doesn't account for a difference of 500 EUR if you buy from the UK. any ideas?

Ah, on the SC site, the UK price is listed as 'Introductory' wheras there's no mention of a German/EU introductory price. Strange.

...Swedish site is 2999. So I guess I could get a free London weekend to pick up one of those.

You are closer to the answer than you think. Seems the .com price is excluding VAT while the .de price is including VAT. Adding those 17.5% to 2698 brings it real close to the German price.

Hmm, I'm feeling my strength for sticking to the economic plan for this year just fading away...

I love European humor.

Let's hope the pattern I see above continues. The further west one goes the cheaper the price.

I have 35 dead Presidents waiting for XITE-1.

If my family and I need to go into Spartan Mode, we are prepared.

.
I usually find American stores to be cheaper then Thomann. If i recall correctly the dollar is treated equal to the Euro in most cases, e.g. a SCOPE Pro at Thomanns may be 1499EURO, but in American store it is $1499. So i hope the past is a good indication when it comes to XITE-1 :D ..

I am already on a crusts & gruel diet since the announcement.

Henceforth, let it be known we are warriors of the "Flying Wedge"

The "Flying Wedge" was last spotted circling Dresden with legros at the controls.
