Hello fellow Pulsarianz. Before flaming me: Yes I did a search on the forum for my issue and yes I didnt find an answer to my problem.
Recently I wanted to route the SPDIF Signal from my Microwave PC (2nd PC) into the Pulsar I card but I couldnt get to hear and see any signal. I have to add that my Pulsar SPDIF out is connected to my Waveterminals 2496 SPDIF in.
On the one hand I read that Pulsar I is not able to be Master and Slave but on the other hand someone stated that it works playing into and from the Pulsar´s I SPDIFs in and out simultaniously. So what should I do? Please help.

Microwave as Master, Pulsar as slave, Waveterminal as slave also

i have heard that you cannot use the SPDIF on a Pulsar I as an FX loop, and that this was fixed for Pulsar II, but you are not doing this process, so I do not know.

might be related though(?).
good luck . . .

have you tried pulsar as master, and the other two as slaves . . . ?

Usually to get SPDIF working I have to slave or Master to SPDIF, not ADAT... PulsarI here.

I never got the sp-dif on my pulsar 1 to work as an effects loop. I believe it is a limitation in the 1 series boards.

There is a limitation of the sp/dif protocol actually. But there are ways around it which is implemented in Pulsar II but not in Pulsar I.

Thanks! I´ll give this setup a try. Master,Slave,Slave.
Also concerning this FX Loop thing you mentioned, which is restricted on I series, does this change if I have an SRB II series in my PC (as this is the fact) ?

i doubt the srb will help the prob, as it deals with the I/O. pulsar II would do it.

The loop thing works with Pulsar 1 as slave to SPDIF. Atleast it works with my TC M-One. If the TC is slaved to Pulsar the signal won't come back to Pulsar.
