Considering that half the people voted for Bush twice, I would imagine McCain will do quite well and I'm not sure Hillary is out of the race either. Polls show she has a better chance to beat McCain than Obama does by the way. I would not be willing to put any serious money on any of the three candidates.
Obama had a very happy childhood growing up in Indonesia and later attended ivy league schools. It's quite possible he heard the n word but I don't think it could have been frequent. He hasn't mentioned that he faced any discrimination. I have no reason to think Gary is a racist. People tend to jump on you for the slightest hint of racism but I noticed that Hispanics don't get the same vigorous level of defense even though there are an equal number of them. It will be a long time until there is a Hispanic president while they will outnumber African Americans in the near future. One could argue that blacks should get special treatment because they were victims of slavery. I understand this. In the case of Obama, his father wasn't from here.
I'm voting democratic but I'm not happy with either of them because I am a liberal and both Obama and Hillary Clinton are conservatives. I know people will disagree with me on this. It's all a matter of perspective.

$10 (not worth much these days) bet says that Obama (key word being 'bomb') finds some sort of 'controversy' of his own (drugs!?) around this Summer, and we suddenly see '(surprise, surprise) Bloomberg enter the race.
You read it hear first.

ya, anybody running for the president is not a nigger. Those two will never converge I don't think. Nigger has nothing to do with genetics, race, or skin color. I see it as a general term for being a street thug, or an aggressive, anarchistic person on the street. Bill Cosby isn't a nigger. And so by definition, a nigger will never run for a president. If you were a nigger, but decided to run for president, then you've probably official became something else. Obama is definitely not a nigger. But then, you'd think, if most "real" niggers that keep it real, don't vote anyway, or don't give a darn about the elections, it seems like the race game doesn't really matter much. Maybe he just has to appeal to the general black population who are richer and more educated than the street life, project livin', tough-life people.
Bottom line is, poverty level is so bad, these white house, presidential candidate types will never, ever, understand the situation. Maybe in terms of numbers, and the occasional visits to the state of the art orphanages, but they won't find themselves feeling endangered because they went into the "wrong" supermarket at the "wrong" part of town.
It doesn't even have to be rich white folks. Even normal, middle class white folks mostly bunch up, and stick together. Then there's the rest of us, hispanics, blacks, indians, paksitani, turkish and asians living in the cheaper rent areas. At least in NY it's just the way it is. I still haven't figured out why these white people can afford to live in the "white" areas, unless they're getting paid much more. (rent is about 30% more, usually over $2000 for a 1br with dishwasher but shared laundry) It's a different world most white people won't see, and will never understand.
Anyway, sorry for the half rant-ish post. I hate poverty and negligence, and this place is teeming with both. I hate people calling each other nigger, it's a devaluing term, just like callin' each other hos. It's a sad phoenomenon of a skin color being associated with a specific social rank (gangsta-like behaviour), and people are re-inforcing it because they think they are re-inforcing their skin color/identity when they are actually reinforcing the improper behavior. Just too much of that around here. Heard of Camden NJ? Elizabeth NJ? It's a war zone out here.

We don't know that since in 2000 the Florida votes were not allowed to be recounted.

By half, I meant roughly half. It's crazy when an election is so close that a few votes out of millions can determine the direction of the country and affect the whole world, even causing 100,000 or I don't know how many people to die. Bush should be in prison now.

No, the electronic voting machines, and rigged vote scamming/counting schemes stole the election and then the Supreme Court GAVE the 'election' to Boosh.
It's all made up.
This next election may not even happen anyways, so everything else is a dog-n-pony show distraction.

and it's only half of the votes, not half of the people. 60-80% of the people find that they are represented by no candidate and they don't vote at all, which IS a vote against....

We ought to make voting mandatory as it is in Australia.
I was wrong about the election poll. A friend who knows better says if you average all the polls, Clinton and Obama poll equally against McCain except in Florida where Clinton has and edge over Obama against McCain.

It's only mandatory to show up and ACT like you're voting for a quasi parliamentary pre-set set of 'candidates'.
I DO get tired of all the 2-year long lead-up here with the stupid debates and endless propoganda on the 'news' networks. Just turn it all off.
I already know who I'm voting for (and who the international community says it prefers, and who even the military supports).
I'm telling you - it's going to be Bloomberg. US economy will be gone by end of Summer, so get ready!
...and think positive happy thoughts with your new Scope Xcite

What I SHOULD have emphasized is that I am a RON PAUL guy - NO WAY WOULD I VOTE FOR THAT BLOOMBERG Central banking shill. His administration would be like going back 230 years - imploding the dollar and making everyone pay off government debt. He's a LIE.
Ron Paul all the way (despite what the media says or doesn't say about him).
So I say NO to Bloombomb - doesn't matter to me if he smoked pot or not.

Ron Paul has as much chance as RuPaul or Ralf Nader. Comic figures.
