Pulsar 2 which driver?

Hi
I'm new to this forum, but thought i'd ask since i've had no reply from the creamware support department.
I have a Pulsar 2 card which I used to run on 3.1c and it worked fine. I seem to have lost my driver CD and the original is 3.1a I think, and 3.1b is available to download from the Creamware support section, but both of these drivers seem to be unstable with my card.
When my computer boots up and the SFP opens to the systray, the soundcard doesn't initialise properly and will not work. It sometimes half loads and plays things at a quicker sample rate, or ulitmately dumps a load of high pitched noise through the speakers! Nice!
Does anyone have any driver advice for me please?
Regards
Duncan

the 3.1c and 4.0 are almost identical, so use the 4.0 !
Or, actually, go for the 4.5, as it is even easier to install.
The drivers are free, it´s all the plugs you pay for.

Thanks for the tip but I thought you had to use different reg codes or get new ones from Creamware to use this software? I'm sure I tried it and my all keys file didn't work....
Thanks

the 4.0 key has always been free. you need to write Ralf in support at S/C and he'll give you a 4.0 key. with it you can still use 4.5, you just won't get keys for all the plugins....
i doubt the problem you mentioned is the driver. the driver has always been stable, i've been using Scope since v1.1. you may have a shared irq, or other problem. perhaps the card is not well seated. if you ever touched the gold contacts with your fingers, they may need to be cleaned. for this, 99% or better pure alchohol or commercial contact cleaner would be required.

Thanks for helping out chaps, much appreciated!!
I have emailed creamware with my codes to get new ones, so hopefully with the new software, and refitting my card, everything will be ok. I checked the IRQ settings and they are fine, no conflicts. I've always been a bit sceptical about the security of the fitting of my Scope card in the motherboard... any tips to keep it in place forever?! concrete?!
Thanks once again

hello, the thing to check with irqs is not "no conflicts", but actual irq sharing. windows won't call a shared irq a conflict, but a shared irq(with the scope card) can make real trouble(since the card's activity is realtime).....

You are emailing Sonic Core, not Creamware i hope, as Creamware don't exist anymore? Email for Ralf is
