Another one for my Cosmic friends

Hi everybody!

This one has taken me AGES to put together. All I had last week was the opening riff. I put in some hours last weekend in order to finish it off but just couldn't find the right touch to end it. I came up with the idea of some recitation about space...
I wound up in a place I really like: UBUWEB, and picked up the recitation of Samuel Beckett's "Text for Nothing". I took out 3 excerpts that made sense in this context and fooled around with them.

Let me know what you think, eh?

Oh you've done it again haven't you!

I love the digital sounding intro and how the old style analog lead blends with it.

Very Tangerine Dream circa Green Desert days (or thereabouts) with hints of Pink Floyd. I couldn't stop myself thinking about the section on Echoes where the dolphins/whales bit is coming to an end and the music is building back to the vocals again.

The use of the vocal track was interesting and works - perhaps a wee bit too much of the echo for me after a while, but that's personal taste only.

Slows up to a lovely moody ending.

Great track Paul and I thought you said you had composers block !

Keep it up

Very nice indeed.

" Old Analog ". :D It appears that those sounds are very vogue, at least with the newest stuff I have been hearing.

Lots of monophonic porta leads, mostly done on VA's which makes me quite happy.

Great work Paul, thanks for sharing this pretty stuff.

I rather like the sounds of guys w/ composers block.

Grandpa's got some chops.

Ok I think,
the first part with the intro lead sound is great but it could tolerate some breaks while the delay feedback is raised and carry the last notes for a while. This would end in less notes, sometimes I have the feeling that you played some notes because you felt a "I must play them now, to keep it round".

Let me make a suggestion on the speech, all the delays are terrible and makes it hard for a german guy to understand what is spoken :-). As you are in space give it a reverb and let him speak through an answering machine or something like that, more like a radio message from space, you know. I think this could work.

Anyway, a plessure for me to hear your music compositions, Paul.

very beautiful song and arrangement. it really pulls u in immidiately an d took me to another place. the only thing i would suggest is the vocals like previously said u need to change the delay effect and i think u really ovverdue the vocals. what i would do i fade out the vocals at 5:45 and then bring it back for a few seconds at 7:20 fade away again and end it like u did. everything else in the song was flawless
