scope 4.5 keys question

Ok going through these keys for the 3 cards, i notice i have keys for:

Spectral Balance Controller
Poison FM
but no actual key for 4.5.

I read here that those 2 devices came with 4.5.

i read somewhere else that you can install 4.5 without a different key from 4.0
does it mean this card with the components from 4.5 is registered to use 4.5? so i can get 5.0 :)

I hope that made some kind of sense !

if you have SBC you have 4.5.
do you have two 4.0 keys?
having both SBC and two 4.0 keys is the clincher.

Well you can run V4.5 installer and install it but it will be still v4.0. Installers are same. I am not sure but you probably wont make it to version 5 with this... :-?

well. the safest thing is to write ralf and ask him for 4.5 keys. Then you will find out if you have them or not :)

there is no such thing as a 4.5 key.
if you purchased 4.5 you will not only get SBC with its key, you should also have a different 4.0 key. check if you have a keyfile from those days before you got 4.5. if so, compare the 4.0 strings. they should be different (afair. can't check it right now.).

if you get a new keyfile from ralf, you will have one different key for Scope 4.0. there may be more than one entries for it, as for other plugins, too, but if you compare the strings they are identical.
my keyfile for a card I definitely know to be 4.5 even has a single entry for Scope 4.0 only (and SBC). still I can use that for a clean install.

don't have the old file around right now to compare them, but I will do :)

it's all fine.
can you compare your keyfile before the purchase of 4.5 and the one you got after that?

Don't think i have an old one, but i just looked at my registry as a text file rather than from Scope and i have one 4.0 key for my Pulsar 2 and another key (which appears twice) for my 3DSP card. Unfortunately my 3 DSP card isn't in my system and i definitely didn't buy 4.5 for that, also SBC is registered to my Pulsar2 - i like to keep all my new stuff on that card. Looks like email to Ralf time unless anyone has any ideas?

I have sent away a question to Ralp but no answer yet. I see nothing about 4.5 in my key-file, but I found SBC. Tonight I will check and compare to my old key-file so I can also figure out which duplicates I have such as Minimax...
But I think it's ok anyway because I can now open plugs that I couldn't before.

well, according to mehdi he's at the messe currently,
I see nothing about 4.5 in my key-file, but I found SBC.
there was never a key called Scope 4.5, even if you bought it. but it should be a different 4.0 key than the one you had before (well if you didn't upgrade from 3.x directly). and an SBC key is a sure sign you got 4.5.
with a pulsar2 (without M&M or S&S) for instance you got one of these packs together with the upgrade. that's why there are more devices to use... :)

read my first post. :)
if you have SBC, you have 4.5.
if you have two 4.0 keys, that's a clincher.

i don't know of a case(although i'm sure it's somehow possible) where SBC could be obtained without 4.5. it was one of the "spiffs" for buying 4.5, although i never use it.....

Correct!
I know I have 4.5 because I once bought it and got new plugs.
I have compared my skf-file now and 4.5 gives me those extras:
- Pro12 (have Prophet-Plus too)
- STS5000
- M-III
- SB404
- SBC
- Masterverb Pro
- Mixer pack2
- B2003
- EDS16i
I bought 4.5 15-sept 2006...my Q's for Ralph are how about SFP5.0 and do I have to register at SonicCore again?
