Do the copy with Halion, load and copy the content from the save menu in Halion to your HD, you'll get the audio as wav files.
The cd file structure will also be read by Kontakt, browsing the audio files works also perfectly.

I leave STS tips to others :-)

For using akai cds from the *scope file browser* you can try to do the following:

- close Scope software
- locate the subfolder \App\Bin\CDAccess\ in scope installation folder
- rename the file CD2000.dll to CD2000.old and then the file CDXP.dll to CD2000.dll
- in the folder \App\Bin\ back-up and substitute akai.dll with the same file taken from a 3.1a (maybe 3.1b too, *not* 3.1c or newer) or previous installation
- restart Scope software

detailed story is here:

If now you can read akai cds from the scope file browser you may also load and convert them with sts and store them to the hard drive in sts format.

cheers
