My Pulsar 2 and Pulsar 1 won´t run constantly after i changed my Graphic card, my RAM and my Case. The messages differ from "Don´t mess around with the copy protection", "No STDM Connection" (or something like this) and while running there are several drop-outs like losing the sample-rate (anyway it´s running in master mode).
Any ideas?

I did not do a OS reinstall, the graphic driver is updated.
Once SCOPE is up, it seems to be working, but if you look at the samplerate-window, you´ll find that there are drop-outs from time to time.
I changed the PCI-Slots twice, but again the problems appear.
I used to have a problem with the STDM-Cable which slipped off the cards, but i looked it over and over and it seemed to be ok.
Maybe it´s a hardware problem.
Maybe the contacts of one of the cards.
Any experiences/suggestions?

All other apps are running well and straight even with Scope installed, the old graphic card is properly removed and uninstalled. So far no other issues. But thank you, i´ll keep watching these things. Maybe also i´ll clean the card´s contacts.

I Think i got it now - mea culpa -
When installing the RAM i put one DIMM in the wrong slot. I placed it into A2 and B1, while it should be A1 and B1.
So now it is running smooth

Epilogue
I was too fast: after a while and reboots it came back
So what i did then was taking out my pulsar 1, now it´s fine again (at least i hope)
Maybe it´s the STDM-Link or maybe it´s that old card
...so far i´m glad it´s working...even with 4 DSPs less...sneef

I think it is just a coincidence and the card has been going down for a longer time, taking it out and in maybe just gave it the rest. Once i pulled it out, the other card is running stable.
And i remember having slight problems before...
...so i can try another PCI-Slot but first i will look how it works with just one card.

Epilogue

I was wrong again

What i did was:
Ithought my Pulsar 1 was broken, so i bought a used Pulsar 2, put it in and everything was fine...i thought
Both cards were performing fine, but i started getting bluescreens and
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
scope.sys - Adress BAB..blabla
stuff, so i looked and tried, did the memtest, placed the cards in every PCI-Slot-combination possible, managed to put them on the same IR, shared by no other card, unplugged all my usb-devices, disabled all other services (onboard-sound, firewire, lan..) ...all the same, sometimes the bluescreen messages differed but the machine still kept crashing.
So before i setup my xp anew, i thought i might as well buy some new gear (new mobo, new cpu and so on) but first i put the cards in my ancient computer (celeron 700 Mhz)..and everything was fine- 3 cards running in perfect sync, no bluescreens, no crashes
So my conclusion: the mainboard was broken!
I´ll get my new stuff today and will report my experience with that!
