VDAT Troubles

I just found a great lttle metronome so I could do an easy recording for some synth / fusion / groove thing.

My idea was to have the SpaceF 8S mixer match it's Inputs to VDAT's outputs, and then have the 8S's outputs go to a stereo channels of the FB5.

That way I could revord the mix outputs of the FB5 into VDAT 1 & 2 for a click, then FB5 outs to VDAT 3 & 4 inputs to do a drum track, etc., while monitoring.

That's when this pop up appears.

How can I record continually while monitoring.

Before it was easy, a simple recording of a live stereo track.

Now it's time to jam and once again I hit the big brick wall.

Any Suggestions are welcome.

Thanks JV.

Hi Jimmy.

I've had this aswell.

I don't think VDat allows it's input and outputs to be connected at the same time.
Not sure if it's a bug or programming error.

Come to think of it try and add another VDat .Never tried that.

Wish Sonicore updated this beauty and gave us a stereo recorder too.

recursion without delay means infinite out of control feedback loop. you need to rethink....

I prefer when others think and I just play. :(

FB5 into VDAT 1 & 2 for a click,
then FB5 outs to VDAT 3 & 4 inputs
- Try first sending the VDAT stereo out (or 8S in that case) to FB5 channel S-5 and activate the Feedback button ("Fb") that is found under the 3 aux pots.
For recording, the "Rec Channel" also has internal Feedback management (auto) (1 by 1 recordings only though).

I have to upload a correction for MultiSynth WS3 later today, I will also upload some external feedback modules, so check again tonight paris time. thanks.

or see here :
http://www.wolf-audio.com/wad/freebies/ ... dule).html

Excerpt:
"When recording with vdat, this device makes it possible to record from an output directly back in an input of the same vdat without having to pull out another vdat to record.
It is a simple stereo feedback module, which can also be used in similar situations (everytime the dialog "recursion not possible" comes up)."

I had everything already from Wolf, SpaceF, and Creamware !!

What A Pendajo I am.

I took the day off to record a synth jammin' song w/ nuttin' but Synths and Acoustic Drum samples.

Gigastusio 4 went to the duplicator today, Multi-Synth WS4-MKII is upgraded, Wavelore Pedals Steel BETA is here, Solaris 5.0 BETA is here,........

These people must think I know what I am doing.. :D

I AM NOT WORTHY !!! Thanks 2 U guys I can appear to be knowledgable.

Scope is so amazing.

I just noticed the simple metronome patch and was wondering, could I make a full kit using waves from Larry Seyers Acoustic Drums into the Drum Oscillators, fuck the velocity layers, just a single layer ( wav ) for each sound I want?

I would just add 6 or 7 more Drum Oscillators and have my own Drum machine?

Could I then have several of these chained together for a drum track and save them as presets ( songs ).

This would be like a library of grooves I could call upon when the need arises, and if I must create a few turn arounds to make a more realistic track save them as well?

Tell me this is so !! I could actually use Wolf's 32 step sequencer, Modulars 16 stepper, and just use VDAT, the whole time staying in the Scope enviroment.?

It can't be.........I must be dreaming.

If you only use drum sounds inside modular you could even just use the modular sequencers as there's no midi required.

best,
Wolfgang
