She was Art Ensemble of Chicago's trumpet player's wife and also has sung with them so I thing she's used to weirdness.scope4live wrote:I

I actually played at Uncle Finnie's Country Club w/ Fontella, and the original songwriter of " If Loving You Is Wrong ", Luther Ingram.
If I would even play a ninth interval somewhere, she would turn and make a face, where as J.D.Parran, the band leader would turn towards me and yell, stay in church you ^%*(*^%$% !!
out of 20,000 people, some lost kid, and myself were the only white guys there.
During the tune " If Loving You Is Wrong " the background vocals were your basic answer / call style, but instead of saying " I Don't Want To Be Right ", the brothers playing horns would all sing, " I Don't Wanna Be White ".
Yeah made me feel right at home.
@ Any rate I have saved the VDAT thankfully until I figure out where the transfer to wav went wrong.
Rescue Me, and hold me in your arms, rescue me,........etc.etc.....
