I have finally got MTron working properly and the funny thing about it is that the Sonic Implants M300, M400, and MKII Strings are much , much better.

However there are plenty of Choirs that smoke the Choirs from the Sonic Implants Melotron Library.

The way I use analog and DSP based synths to get the sounds I require, seems to be carried over to the Gigastudio / VST world. I must have both.

So having Gigastudio 4 hosting VSTi's appears to have been a wise decision.

Just 2 years ago I had to use 2 x Scope DAW's to pull off my gig. Now I only need 1 x Scope DAW, w/ a few pieces of hardware in case of a crash.

I am sorry but I see absolutly no advantages of using less scope systems

Gmedia announced an enhanced MTron a few years ago, called the Megatron. From the look of it, it had much more on board sound shaping ability (filters, envelopes, etc) but it disappeared without trace.

However at Namm this year, they've announced the MTron Pro. Looks like a beefed up MTron with extra sounds from the Birotron and Optigan. Shame about the name change - I think they were worried about copyright issues with Megatron (Transformers) but MTron Pro sounds a bit lame. ProTron would have sounded better.

Anyway, I really like MTron and have all the expansion packs they'e released for it as well - I've nothing to compare it to, but for me it's definitely good enough for getting 'that' sound.

Will definitely be getting M-Tron Pro - just for the reverse function and Optigan samples alone. It's based on their new VSM engine, so should be a bit more up-to-date than the now vintage M-Tron (wow a VSTi can now be vintage ), and should be easier for them to update as they can use the same code as the VSM updates.

i have to say i now enjoy routing it into space f's FAT Inserts then into B2003 for the Leslie to fatten it up. May also try it through Dynatube for the speaker emulation, although i could really do with a 'neutral' valve preamp to replace the guitar ones.

...er, that's quite gross.

MTron Pro Looks To Be Sweet.

Glad to see that someone realises how cool reverse stuff can be, especially live.

It's nice to have the samples of the strings though just in case the Mtron stuff doesn't improve it's sound any.

I really like having VST / samples / DSP creations / analog synths.
