if thats your voice, then you got great skill as a singer...

artistically very nice..
:D
rating 10/10 :)

technical side:
nice too, but the snare could sound a bit fresher to my taste..
and maybe a bit of that 80s style gate reverb on that vocal....
8/10 :)

i tried on the full mix, but you could do it solo on the vocal..
just an idea, you don`t have t follow up on it...

thanks alot hifi! yes.. thats me :) thanks!
i agree on the snare.. could be brighter. I'm going for that 70's sound, so its a hard balance.. because the 70s sound was all about mid and bass.. not too much high freq in general. I really like that sound, and I hope that someday the world will start mixing less "bright" oh well.
I could imagine the 80 gated reverb sounding really good, but then again i'm going for the 70s sound. I'm 10 years early :D
but great feedback Hifi. thanks alot!
Now... you woulnt happen to own sony or virgin would you
(yeah its impossible to get signed!)
thanks alot and merry christmas!

A gate reverb is a gate reverb unimportant if it s 80s or 70s.
:D
Your music style shows again that planetz is a place where some real decent talents hang around and have a friendly, peaceful talk. Thats great.

ha, that would be cool. impossible...

thats why music making for me is a hobby; getting signed is like hitting 7 numbers in lotto. And the mainstream shows that its not always quality that makes the race.

Wow! finally I've the possibility to hear this with my earphone monitors and I Have to say that I like it very much!

The mix is well balanced. I like the good pan positioning of the instruments. I like the voice but don't like very much the snare drum sound: it's a bit to "raw". I have this feeling the most in the first part, but less later (when it is partially covered by the other instruments)

It sounds pro, imho. Congrats! :-D

Fantastic song. The guitar is peculiar with those odd chanting vocals [all good things in my book]. A+.

I too loved it much! :)

My only point would be that there are some thick bases in the chorus parts; I would simply filter them slightly.

The voice it is a perfect take! The “sound” and the amount of reverb are just right.

Nice music too, with perhaps, a remembrance to some Pink Floyd atmospheres, not the style, but the atmosphere, which is of course a compliment.
Keep working because this is good stuff, period!

BTW, which mike have you used for the voice?

Nice sounds.

Nothing wrong w/ chubby bass IMO.

I like the way that members can add parts to recorded mp3's.

You should definately pamper your voice, it has great quality.

Judging by your address, I'd say Hot Tea, Honey and Lemon.

I work w / a really great female singer from time to time, and she inhales steam from boiling watrer every day, and drinks Earl Grey Green Tea w / Honey and Lemon.

In Vegas singers have to be aware of the dust, and dry heat. 6 nights a week will kill ya'.

19thbear,.......wanna add a vocal to a keyboard track?

Hi,

The song is really nice.. and I really like how your snare sounds :D The voice is great too :)

I'm a bit of a rock dude (a.k.a the redneck with the big amp), so I cannot help thinking that, towards the end of the song, where the atmosphere gets richer, a bright, slightly overdriven guitar under the clean arpeggio, (like aerosmith's living on the edge) or a bit more "edgy" (like in Pink FLoyd's learning to fly), preceded by a little feedback, not too close on the mix, would be the cherry on the cake..

That's my little "would love to have" Otherwise, I find nothing to criticise on either the musical nor technical side :)

Cheers!

Raul

wow!!! thanks alot for all the great comments!
This really makes me happy!

well someone asked for the lyrics, here we go:

If you could only see, you could so easily be a part of me.
If you would only choose, no one had to loose, no more blues.
Come on pick a side, choose a horse to ride, out of site
and come on pick a part, and this play will start, in my heart.
...yeah i know.. but it's funny what you can say when the music is allows it:)

and scope4live: yeah... bring me the music!

thanks to everyone for the great feedback! This really makes me happy.. cause sometimes i think about selling al my stuff and stop making music, seriously!..

thanks alot!
