Reverb Stompbox Suggestions

I need a hardware stompbox effect to replace my beloved MCCY Spring, and Celmo Spring and EchoRec II.

I have to have a spring type effect.

Does anyone who plays guitar here have any suggestions that are not rackmounted?

Boss RE-20 Space Echo
Boss Fender Deluxe

Don't know how good the reverbs are, they may be an afterthought. i quite liked the RE-20 when i tried it, but it'll never beat my RE-501 ;)

There was also a 1U rack, quite cheap and German to boot, but i can't find it on the website, here's the SOS review

(ignore the Tascam title - that's wrong).

Another German one, this is more tabletop:

The Vermona Re Tube looks like a great unit.

I think I found my choice on ebay for 120 USD.

I still have an extra Aussie adapter in one of my trunks too.

Hi,

The TC M ONE have a spring reverb algo, which can be parrallized, giving 2 mono to 1 stereo out. It's cheap these days (search a M ONE XL for XLR out).

Cheers

Thanks Brotha' Man MD69,

The B4000 will be stereo out, maybe Y'd, not sure yet.

A rackmount is starting to make more sense though.

I definately will have to Y it's outputs into the mono Rotary input for sure.

you can still find old spring rackmounts like the one you pictured. that'd be cheap and probably sound like you want a spring to sound....don't(or do!) bump it! :D

the EH pedals are very, very good for an electronic emulation of a spring reverb...

I heard the pedal from EH today, the Holiest Grail,... .

It does sound very good, I just hate wall warts though. But this kind of power would probably chew up batteries nightly.

Then again that's how we do it on the big jobs. Many Nicad re chargers.

Thanks Guys, I will be very busy.

I am bidding on an M One at ebay, and also this antique, actually made by Mackie back in the day.

Thank You.

Mr. Ark,

The Vermona w/ the 12AX7 Tube sounds amazing. I couldn't believe I found a demo unit from a local retailer of lights and sound.

It can do much more than a spring reverb. I only heard it w/ a guitar outputted into it, and my shitty voice. But my God that's an awesome unit. And way too expensive, at least this year.

But I can imagine how sweet the B4000 would sound into this.

I heard a demo clip of the 1U rack plate, and it sounds pretty sweet also.

I will post back w/ what I come up with next week.

I am really gonna miss my Celmo Spring / EchoReq, and my MCCY Spring, that's for sure.
