Big thank to Ralf

Hello,
I really think this is one of the best announcement i ever seen :
http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... 7&start=20
<~Shroomz~> wrote:I was given the oscilloscope.dev file and a couple of pep files by a gentleman who was sent it by Ralf some time ago. Turns out the pep files were already in the Scope install's Measurement folder. I made the dev file that was sent to me into a modular module. If anyone thinks it's unethical to be releasing sdk modules as modular modules, I'd be willing to discuss the matter, but that's all this is... an sdk module.
I'm glad to see Ralf helping,by giving him the possibility to run PEP files,a 3rd party to make great devices like this oscilloSCOPE from our Great SHROOMZ.
Glad to see a 3rd party able to use and run PEP files on his sdk While officials can not.
Glad to see 3rd party making lots of free devices for us.
Glad to see Sonic Core is alive.
and glad to see Shroomz working hard for us.
of course, a big thank for Shroomz too
Cheers,

Depends if you smell yourself Astroman
spacef wrote:mmh, ok, after manu post i thought it might have been "extracted" from optimaster or something. glad it is not...
Sorry Tom but pointing again this 3rd party dev opens ( and opened ) a protected device to extract a protected script or a protection module from it, is not so glad, even if he is a great member and one of your friend.
Cheers,

manu, if you want to discuss this then it should be in General Discussion - NOT Announcements. You obviously have an agenda by doing this.

Your proof please - otherwise you could be up for a slander suit.

If I would be the victim of piracy, I would call my lawyer and not tell my friends
to spread roumors...
And as a friend, I think there are much better ways to show your friendship...

Does this mean that with the sdk there is a way to open and extract stuff from devices EVEN if they are well built , optimized and closed ? I would be surprised though. You can imagine that i wouldn't be very happy if someone opens my demos for example.
But Shroomz said it was a module that he got from someone else, and it was not extracted from any other device apparently.

I agree with you Spacef.
But why all this BS,i'm just pointing a 3rd party did that thing, i'm not writing Shroomz has opened the devices.I'm sure he is honest and i personally have no reason not to believe what he says.
This module,as Shroomz says, has been given to him by someone else

We don't know him ,who is that man ? is this module extracted from a device, you ,Spacef pointed this.

Why "optimaster" Spacef ?

Peace and truth are what we need ,better than lies.

Cheers,
because Optimaster is the only plugin I know that have this module inside

may be other plugins have it , but i never noticed. I am pretty sure that only Optimaster has this module, it is in the Normalizer window and has 3 modes and is handy to have in there too .... If you have optimaster you should know that...

sorry guys but is there something new ? I mean, i thought everything had been discussed before. It is up to everybody here to think what he thinks ; just have a look at previous thread and it is done .... Should a developper or a professional think someone has stolen its technology/dev, then he can suit him. Of course i am against pirates and many here know that someone "gave" unprotected (or deprotected

) devices from a 3rd party company. Besides, this situation has not prevented me (and many) from buying most of the plugins from this very company (they sound so good !

) .
I think there is nothing new about this case, so is it worth it putting gasoline upon the fire ? I think most of people here just prefer good anouncements like "new pcie", "scope5 is here !" etc ... I am part of this category. So please Manu ... just listen to your favourite music, buy some good plugins and make your DSPs warm up

and look ahead !

i understand now why you were talking about Optimaster as i don't own this plugin.
So,if i understand well this module is on well protected module isn't it ?and this "someone else" has extracted it from an Optimaster or another plugin using this PEP file.Ok,great news.Thank again for your knowledge Spacef.

Well frankly, i never said that, and moreover it is totally unrealistic, for the simple reason that is really a not very interesting module this oscilloscope. It is fun, but really nothing very exciting. So I just don't beleive at all it happened like you said.

@ manu, you're now connecting conclusions and summaries specificly to Spacef's latest post. (edit: former-latest)
This certainly was not intended by him, and I like to declare I dissociate myself from it.
edited, added 'at manu', spacef was faster already.

Bill,
The announcement was that Shroomz got great help from Ralf ,that's all. This great member offers us lots of plugins and i thanks him for that

and you should do like i do

.
I don't understand why you think i wanted to make a new polemic by writing this topic
Seems,it's always the same problem here when someone's talking about pirates

Planetz is a nice clean place, i know that.
Cheers, peace and love to all of you for sure.

Manu: "and this "someone else" has extracted it from an Optimaster or another plugin using this PEP file."
Shroomz: "I was given the oscilloscope.dev file and a couple of pep files by a gentleman who was sent it by Ralf some time ago."
here manu, these are the three guys you need to talk to if you are so utterly concerned about this incredible stupid situation you just started. I have NO idea why you are throwing shit at the fan constantly, i dont go crazy on people wanting to run OSX on Windows machines, neither do i publicly rant on people marketing plugs with stolen surface components. IT DONT DO ANY GOOD IN A PUBLIC FORUM and it certainly isnt a fucking announcement.
And im sorry to break your illusion, but a world without pirates wont happen. thank god.

No it isnt. Its how you "indirectly" target members with your accusations, with no proof at all.
have a look at this:

100 views, noone ever commented. do you see the difference?

oups, well what a "fast" thread ... may be i have got you wrong Manu ; i thought you were "throwing shit " (quote) . My english is not perfect so there are few things hard to understand (eg : what a dog shit has to do with my PC fans or some of the scope4live metaphores for instance

)
I will seek another anoucement ... may be another A16 front panel ? Just kidding

Christmas is drawing near ... what is sonicCore cooking ? It could be next anoucement ....
