This is a tip, but not a Scope tip, so in case others here besides Wolf, and I have VSL Strings,.........this Bud's 4 U.
I have had SISS ( String Library ) for years and loved it, but it is too Chamber-ish sounding.
In preparation for my new DAW I bought the VSL String library, and Vienna Special Edition Shell.
Right away I heard the sections I have been hearing when I sleep at night.
But adding the ancient but beautifully Lo-Fi Melotron strings w/ it makes it unbelievably beautiful.
Several violins are magnificiently captured w/ the VSL samples, but the Melotron samples already sounded like 32 players, although it was an 8bit tape machine. But these 2 combined are stunning.
With a few fingers and some wisely placed velocity levels, I can use 1 finger and sound like dozens of players at once!!
I continue being elated with great sounds from my DAWg's.
