I've finally dumped the video VCR on my TV and bought a DVD recorder.

Can anyone recommend any PC software for copying DVD's please (off-site backups).
There seems to be lots of freebies and trail stuff on the web, but a recommendation would help.

Thanks

DVD Shrink and Nero. Always verify after burning to make sure there were no errors during burning.

Thanks to you both (so far).
I assume you use Neor to copy a dvd to hard disk and then burn it for the TV with DVD Shrink?

by next to nothing
NERO will also install heaps of indexing services and other stuff even if you tell the installer to only install the burning software, atleast since version 7.

Then you pababaly have something overlooked regarding to the install process. By the way you can yocigure it afterwards as well, and if you installedt incd or other things shipped with, you can use msconfig @ the runprompt.
NeroVision and nero showtime are also excellent easy to handle viewers.
