So, I am pretty psyched about Live 7..

Easy hardware effects and synth integration :o ..

And I guess the 64-bit engine doesn't hurt.

yeah, to me this also looks like the best upgrade since years...
drumrack, rex, slicer, multiple track automation view, external router plugin (will integrate scope better than ever)...

i don't think the new additional devices will get my money, although i'm a bit intrigued by the string device...
hey SC, ableton got their electric piano now

if they can tighten up the core of the program (screen lag when editing in the arrangement view, midi timing), this seems like a very good upgrade. Logic8 seems great too at the current price... but Live has got something that noone else has.

I am pretty sure this thread was moved into "announcements".

Nope, didn't do that :)
I'll move it into general discussion

when a thread is moved, will it automaticly be signed with 'moved'?

It leaves a shadow link from the old forum. See the topics list in announcements.

This is optional when I move it, but I usually do set it to leave the shadow link.

ah I see, I mistakenly linked the feature to the moved thread, but it is the original one which has it - not surprisingly :-)

I'm a big fan of Live. I just find the interface easy to work with.

Seems like a decent upgrade. The Pow-R dither, the compressor, the spectrum analyzer... nice touches. So kind of an incremental upgrade, but still looks good.

As for the old standard features, I like how it all works. Context help on mouse-over is super nice. Stacking VST's to form "instruments" is a nice feature. I think they have been Mac/Intel Universal since about 5.2, so it fits nicely with the Macbook Pro crowd also. So it's platform agnostic as well.
