The Polish people and this government is not the same, we all know. But I also hope that your government changes cos the Kaczynskis don't like Germany - they say, Germany wants to dominate Poland in the European Union.

I´ve got the same things in mind when I look at our german government - everybody is at the wrong position. And most people care about terorism, but the main porblem is drugs in the government, the organized crime and the overall corruptness.

Let us not forget the bravest of the brave, who spoke loud and proud to the Soviet Union, while others watched.


Lech Walesa, the man from Popowo dealt the Soviets a blow which they could never would recover from. That's only one Polish hero off the top of my head.

Here in Las Vegas there are many Polish people here earning a good living in the trades Unions. I met a female engineer the other day while checking out a new stage, actually there will be 34 stages built when they are finished. She was born in Poland and immagrated here when she was nine to Brighton Beach, NJ. But she earned enough money to fly her Grandparents here and though they loved Las Vegas, but they would not immagrate here. They said they would rather stay in Poland. I guess ol' Lech made a lot of Poles happy to make their own choices after decades of " Soviet style freedom. "

Lech Walesa is in opposition now. At first I was ashamed about his language which was very simple, a worker's language. But some years ago he convinced me he was right and that you have to listen to him carefully. You have to listen to the whole sentence, not particular words.

But Kaczynskis language is a language of hate, they speak like comunists from the 60s. Then they were capitalists and revisionist people to be blamed. Now they are rich Poles to be blamed for all the poverty.

I once invented a good slogan for a party: "Let's lower the prices and everything will be cheaper". Simple and 100% populist. Unfortunately this government says that and people belive such words...

I think this is about more than "just" abortion and death sentence.

It is true that France, England and Germany are working for a system within the EU where the bigger states gets a bigger say than smaller countries, not based on the population number but, if I remember correctly, 3 classes: big, medium and small states.
Put simply, they are working for an unfair system, that works in their favour. I believe that this is the issue that Poland is working against in every possible way they can, also here, all though the topic in this case is absurd.

Cut the guy a little slack. They are going through hell after decades of slavery, it won't be easy. Besides, I voted for Bush, and he also turned right instead of flying straight.

The downside of voting is that even when your guy wins, there's no telling what comprimises, or influence will happen along the way.

I would have loved Ross Perot, as I believe a sucessful business man, or a middle class working man would have beem refreshing, but at the end of the day, there's just too many damn politicians around. They only all agree when it suits them best.

Lech Walesa is a hero, perhaps he'll try again. Anyone who can achieve power in the times he was organizing, can surely come over any domestic squabbles. Afterall, he negotiated with a gun at his head, and he still won !! That's a man of principle.

well Bingo, i exercise my voting right, i didnt vote for those fucknuts, and yet they got to power.
They rely on a large procent of population that is ill educated and prone to populist propaganda. this is really a remnant of decades of communist regime.
(The funny part is that one of the twins wrote master on superiority of socialist work law over capitalist one, heavily quoting from Marx and Lenin and now they are paranoid anticommunists, well, times change)
another thing that works for them is people being extremaly tired with quality of politics and policies of our government.
many simply dont go voting, on a basis that all politicians are an equal crap
many chose to move with their lives to Ireland, Scotland or England so they dont need to bother.
(outflow of a qualified workforce from Poland is another mindboggling topic, for an example from a viewpoint of stability of a social security system, but that would be completely different topic)

When I was a child, I grew up watcing Lech Walesa on TV. I didnt really understand the whole politics and everything, but I knew that he was standing up against an opppresive leadership, at great threat and cost to him and his family. I so respected that, I even think it probly played a major part in me groing up to become an anarchist. Thanks Walesa. You helped make me what I am.

On another note, since nothing ever changes here in the Good 'Ol USA. I am going to do the exact oppisite and vote for the worst candidate, in hopes of having a better result. So Hillary is my vote.

I feel the world will fear an old hag who watches her husband screw other women, while she suffers from PMS. I would not want to aggitate her.

It's worse here in the United States. The death penalty is not very controversial because most people here enjoy killing people.
