UPDATE 24 Bit Wav Source Mod or TubeFilter_0_5_M problem

Post by hesnotthemessiah »

I was working on a song using, amongst other devices, 5 instances of TubeFilter_0_5_M (ECC83 Tube Filter Mono). 2 As inserts. When I reload the Scope project, after about 1 to 10 minutes, I get a Scope error message "PCI-Master-Abort! Check for PCI board conflicts and restart the computer.". Tried this 3 times with the same resulting message. I then reloaded the project, immediately removed all the TubeFilter_0_5_M devices from the project, then left Scope running for 20 minutes and there was no problem.

So I can only conclude that Scope doesn't like multiple instances of the TubeFilter_0_5_M running at the same time in a project. Has anyone had any experience of running multiple TubeFilter_0_5_M devices in a project?

UPDATE:-

I hope I have now "solved" it. By which I mean I deleted the 24 Bit Wav Source module from the project and all seems OK.

Have been using my Cubase/Scope combination with very little problem for over a year and the trouble only started with this project. On that basis, I can only think it has something to do with the 24 Bit Wav Source module or TubeFilter_0_5_M devices. Removed just the TubeFilter_0_5_M devices - no problems. Removed just the 24 Bit Wav Source module - no problems. So I have gone with removing just the 24 Bit Wav Source module - something I wouldn't normally save with a project anyway (I don't know why I did in this case).

I have a horrible feeling though that I am going to have the same problems again and will make sure and write down what happens and when. The trouble is it is so easy to say this but, when you are in the middle of a project, all you want to do is get on with it and the last thing you want to do is make accurate notes of errors. :-?
