XP freezes at shut down

WIndows Xp freezes at shut down if I don't close Scope before.
It's long time i have this trouble, but since the things run nearly stable, apart from some issues that i considered as minor thing 'till now, and since I've reinstalled and controlled all the tweaks several times when I built the system up, I deferred the thing.
Does anyone dealt with something similar?

That has happened to me as recently as yesterday...I always have a shutdown procedure that has always worked but forgot yesterday and the whole thing hanged...I also had two firwire Powercores connected at the time....if I follow the routine all is well..

Could be the asio or wdm drivers not 'letting go' of the hardware properly. I agree, close scope first, very simple solution.

Deduct your potential problems.
Does this happen if you shut down xp right after starting XP/Scope or after heavy sessions on your sequenser progr?
If the former: try disabeling all other start up programs and only run Scope and do a shut down. If still a problem.....well; reinstall scope and see what happens then.
If the latter; it's prob not your scope but a sequenser issue (prob plug ins issues) .

This happens even if no sequencer session had run.
It could be just fine working this way. Not a problem to close Scope before shut down. But it's in Modular environment that things go wrong.
Presets won't work: they recall only certain parameters and have kind of unstable/unpredictable behaviour.
Flexor AD envelopes just occasionally works (I wasn't be able to understand if this follows any rule or if it randomly happens), and there's some problem also with other Flexor env .
When used in FM chain, Flexor alias NBL oscillators have pops and sort of oscillating/unstable phase issues even if synchronized and shaped as sine.
These are things happened in these days, but there's other things that escape me now.
I tryed to stop all the unused services running in background, but got no results.
I'll try to remove it all from startup.

Those flexor bugs sound unusual. If you can't solve this here you should follow up on that at the
Adern forums for some technical support.

if you pull out the AC power cord from the wall while you have scope loaded, pc will not freeze in shut down.
Hi guys!!! long time since my last post. i missed you.

i've disabled all the unused services and all apps running in background then made some try in Modular environment.
All things ran fine within the first patch I built but, i removed the patch, loaded another one I had built before, tweaked a bit with it, then, trying to remove it and load another one, i've got an OS message saying SFP caused and error and will be closed, with system frozen after I clicked OK.

No software reinstallation yet, but I'm testing using a single Luna II instead of both the cards.
I've not very extensively tried yet, but the system has never frozen till now, whatever of the two slots and whatever of the two boards I use.
I still have some doubt cause a problem has come out during a single session using Mod3 with the oldest board (sort of e-sync or osc phase issue, i'm not sure).
Flexor envelopes however still won't work with MVC B (very strange issue at present: the env do work only when I release a note and not when I hit it) but they seem to work fine with MVC A.
In these days I'll perform other tests, then shall replug the two boards together.
Any ideas about problems coming stacking boards?
