How many of you have read Sufi master Hazrat Inayat Khan ? I have learned much from his perspective on Spirit & Music. I find the sufi messages very nice!

You can check some books online:
http://www.soefi.nl/4publicat/volumeonline.htm

I recommend:

THE MYSTICISM OF SOUND, MUSIC, THE POWER OF THE WORD, COSMIC LANGUAGE

I hoping to learn about more members who have a desire to fuel this planet with Light & Joy! I cant be alone in this :P

THE first and principle thing in the inner life is to establish a relationship with God, making God the object with which we relate ourselves, such as the Creator, Sustainer, Forgiver, Judge, Friend, Father, Mother, and Beloved. In every relationship we must place God before us, and become conscious of that relationship so that it will no more remain an imagination; because the first thing a believer does is to imagine. He imagines that god is the Creator, and tries to believe that God is the Sustainer, and he makes an effort to think that God is a Friend, and an attempt to feel that he loves God. But if the imagination is to become a reality, then exactly as one feels for one's earthly beloved sympathy, love and attachment, so one must feel the same for god. However greatly a person may be pious, good or righteous, yet without this his piety or his goodness it is not reality to him.

'The Music Of Life' is an amazing book, a lifetime's project to read and understand. I recommend it highly to anyone who has any interest in sound and how it affects us.

Awesome thread my Brothas'.
I was always afraid to post my true beliefs here in fear of spurring conflict, but I have always loved such fine art, and since I was a child, have wanted to write music / videos to get kids attention into reading such fantastic material. Even pictures / slide show type books w/ play along music has been considered.

When I was a small scope4live, I heard " Tales Of Brave Ulysses " by Eric Clapton. I loved it and then asked my father who he was. He then bought me the Illiad by Homer, and I have been hooked ever since.

Khan's Music Of Life is incredibly inspiring. It can be read several times, and still maintains it's captivating spell.

I am reading the Ramayana, and the Mahabharata over and over to get it to sink in so I might compose something using my vast ancient instrument libraries, and mix them w/ synths to create a captivating kind of sound scape to read with. This has been a life long dream of mine, and I am glad to see that I am not the only one who reads this fantastic stuff. I do live in my own little world, which helps me forget the true realities in life which I find horrifying, but now that I see I am not alone, I will post some of my recordings on this. Only certain pic's and tracks have been made, there are so many more to go.

Perhaps a video game w/ Vishnu as the star during the battle of the Firmament between the Gods ??

Spiritualism mixed with Music is so gratifying, only the music itself can express it's feeling.

:)

The link that Harmany posted includes the first chapter from 'the music of life'. It's a great read and a good introduction to the principles of sound and energy and how they relate to spirituality and self-knowledge.
