How Much Change w/ Vista 4 Us

I assume w/ Vista, our other apps will be able to address more memory, which will be great for streaming samples w/ Giga, Kontackt, Halion, etc.
Cubase, Sonar, Samplitude, and the rest should see some improvement as well. But what if any, will we see w/ SFP? Just compatability, or extrra bandwidth w/ 32bit PCI and DDRIII? I am curious.

Vista will give us the opportunity to buy more ram and faster processorts to get the same performance out of our daws that we can get with XP.

For guys with 4gig ram, isnt there a addressable limit of only 3gig in xp & vista 32bit?? what a scam.

> 4gig ram is only possible with a 64bit machine, and we all know that there aint gonna be 64bit drivers any time soon... maybe in a few years time.

oh well.

I also don't see the need, as I can load eveything on 2 DAW's for an entire evening w/o changing a project or instrument on my samplers.

But I think SonicCore is being pressured into making drivers, which would give the company the appearance of a new train of thought for sure, afterall what if Tascam or other developers ask for collaboration on this, and find that it is business as usual ? Wouldn't that be like saying, sorry, we have nothing new except for Dynatube, COSM, etc.? I love our platform, but would be sad to see offered collaboration passed by again.

I will use these DAW's until they cease to function, regardless. But I can't imagine someone buying a company just to sell it's leftover stock. Surely there is a plan for this century, and I wish them, as well as us the best.

But, if they do make Vista drivers, can anyone explain the benefit to our current cards, if any ?

Great,...........Did you do this while we were talking on the phone ??

My Brothas', I was talking to GaryB as he fixes all of my fuck ups, I sware he did this while we were trying to upgrade Plogue Bidule ( VST Host ).

He definately is a multitasker, as he even had a conversation w/ his wife all at the same time.
