workshopping old but most important topics...

Hi folks
one thing I´ve never come across in here is a kind of discussion of how to handle the most important tools in mixes - reverbs, compressors, EQs
So I ask myself if someone might want to share his insights on such a topic by gving a little workshop. Either in form of a tut with sample files or by using one of the many online free conferencing tools out there...
I started of by looking for presets for the P100 (there are none...) but presets alone are not much worth without knowing the context in which they are meant to use.
Again Reverb and comps are "non-presetable" devices since they have to be set up in a specific soundscape...
