"Wrong SR" error in TripleDAT

Anybody know what this error means? I drag a 44.1 / 16 bit file into Triple and it shows up but has this error message superimposed over the waveform

you probably guessed it yourself... wrong samplerate
but it's impossible to tell the reason - it could be corrupted, badly labeled, messed with another file etc.

OF course, my old brain couldn't figure that one out. What's wrong with 44.1 ? 16bit?
I'll look around on the Triple /Scope window and see if I can change it or convert. What is Triple looking for?
All my files that I try to open give this error.
