Scope 4 and Gigastudio 3

Hi all,
I'm running 2 Gigastudio stand alone machines, and have done so for several years without any problems. One of the machines became unstable, which was caused by an error with a hard drive. This has been resolved.
After a fresh install of Windows, Scope 4 and GS3 - when I try to launch GS3 I get the error:
"Hardware version 11 detected. This hardware requires a software upgrade",
and GS will not load.
I run the same setup on the 2nd machine.
Anyone have any ideas what this means?

Thanks :-?

it could mean that the driver is installed in Windows, but for some reason the board is not seen.
I get the same message with a 'hardware version 19 detected' when I launch an (uninstalled) Scope.exe - with uninstalled drivers.
The driver without a board crashes my machine on boot, so it's just a guess regarding the 11 and 19 difference.
What does device manager tell about the presence of the boards ?

If you're convinced the install was successful, then it might help to power the machine down, unplug the power cable, fake-switch it on and off a couple of times by the powersupply's switch, wait a few minutes, re-connect the cables and startup the machine.
It's the mysterious magical all true reset proc, that's due whenever a system plays wierdo - it's not based on logic but on experience... :D

cheers, Tom
