The following Trance song started as an Electribe MX exclusive. Then, I made a second mix that added an MPC1000, Virus b, and X-Station. That mix peaked on the SoundClick Trance charts at #27. Well, now I've finished a third mix of the same song. I tracked all parts separately into my Pulsar II using twin Behringer Ultra Pro-8s. All of the effects are CW.

EMXTrance1v3 debuted at #63 on the SoundClick Trance charts. Please help a fellow CW user make it to #1. :D

what were the first two versions mixed on.

Sounds good.

IMO, i like how the kick was a little harder in the first mix.

The first mix was recorded straight out of the Korg Electribe MX into CW L/R. The kick used in the first mix was a 909 sample that comes with the Electribe MX. For the second mix, I added some extra outboard gear but still recorded straight into L/R. In that mix, the kick, snare, clap, and cymbals were layered with samples from my MPC. In the third mix, I tracked everything separately. Since I can track six channels at a time from my MPC, and not from the EMX, I got lazy and dropped the EMX drums completely. So basically, I ended up using the EMX as the drum sequencer and triggering the samples in my MPC. In summary, first mix is EMX sampels only, second mix is EMX and MPC samples, and third mix is MPC samples only. It's interesting that you like the EMX 909 kick sample. I did compress it using the EMX's built-in effects. That EMX is an impressive little groovebox with nine drum tracks and five synth tracks.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback. Good news. The third mix (EMXTrance1v3) climbed to #24 today. :D
