Scope Noob - First Hardcore Attempt

:D This is my first Attempt to Compose a song with cubase and scope. Its just 45 seconds of Hardcore kick and percussion. The kick was made using 3 Drum oscs in modular with a crapload of distortion and shaping. I used the modular sampler for the percussion. I am now addicted to Modular for life :D This used my whole 6 DSP thats why i couldnt make any more straight away. Need to Start Sub-mixing or buy some more DSP power

Ive had this soundcard working for 5 days and before this i didnt even know what modular synthesis was. The main reason I am putting this post here is because quite a few people are asking me about Scope and what it can do in hardcore / hardstyle. I can just point them here. this isnt a perfect example , far from it, just an example (no mastering on this one, please go easy)

Thats awesome dude!!! :D U take me back to the Thunderdome with this!! Very good production :D Nice one

Hopefully some day soon my mixes will be as clean as that was :D

So was there any external gear used there or all scope stuff ??

not a single bit of external gear.....

its more about which sounds you take and how good you are at tweaking them together to a mix and how you integrate good fx. :D

a bit of good reverb is a must to get the sound large!

btw I also have some Thunderdome CDs flow around, the older the better they are.... I`m more producing melodic stuff atm, but I still love the Thunderdome stuff, especially the old ones, for how well the fx was integrated....
With headphones it really blows your mind.... :D

a few years ago I had some good friends who were almost half as young as I was (old), and I used to go together with them to a few hardcore parties in big halls :-D
Topsport it was

I believe it was...

holland seems to be the central point for that sound some years ago.

I`ve never been on such a party... In south germany most parties were with more conventional djs, like Westbam, Taucher, Tomcraft, Sven Väth, Paul van Dyk..... and that stuff.
But the scene seems almost dead anyways..... Its all around club house and black sound at the moment.

Heheheh I will be coming over to holland hopefully at the end of this year to see some big parties of this nature. A few of my friends have been and say it was the best time of their lives  I have seen a Video Of Sensation Black 2006 where there was 40,000+ maniacs bouncing away to this style of music.

Yes I agree hardcore used to be something very different to what it is these days :D Some of the 2007 stuff that is coming out , esecially in Hardstyle, is starting to get really good. There was a couple of years there where every song sounded very similar to the last.
