it's incredible how you quote your influences without actually copying them :D
for me it's Moondust - Sound And Vision, For Alice - Scratched, Choque - One More Time
well performed - once you find (develope) your own 'group' style it will be most interesting

cheers, Tom

Thx for the feedback astroman, to develop my own group style I need a singer for my band. until that it´s hard for me to decide wether I make House TripHop or something other.
In some way it´s my problem that everyting is in me somehow. I also made some Hiphoptracks and some Classicrock Arrangements.
In some way I´m little German Beck.
I guess I´m more the producer who is able to produce all differerent kind of music than an artist who is composing always the same style.
But maybe I should decide what I really want to do.
A fusion of older rockmusic and newer types of electronic music would be the thing I guess.

btw for all the others who were listening to my songs, any feedback is always welcome, cause it pushes me into a forward headed direction without thinking to much what I´m really doing.
thx

listening to moondust now.. nice intro .....

seems well produced to me but i'm only listening on crappy laptop speakers...

like the the break down..

i feel that the guitaring is a bit to relentles for me , stop showing off.. ;) ... well performed though...

my dad would love this...thats a good thing.. i'm into my dnb mainly but love all sorts of music... when i say i'm into dnb.. i mean stuff that has some funk soul or musicality to it.. there is so much crap dnb and it has a bad name if you ask me...

check out my post see what you think and also check out www.myspace.com/toppersuk for more of our music i think that "Wot you got (fly away )" and "Hope" on that page you should apreciate....

all our stuff is mixed down with SCOPE and we use prodessy, minimax, pro tone. along with cubase a few chose plugins and reason...

Peace...

Helldriver,

Can you place your recording here as an mp3?

I would like to hear it, but do not wish to become active on the internet membership thing.

It says I have to register and log in.

How about a simple mp3 the old fashioned PlanetZ way?

These links are not connected.

Thanks.

Don´t know what your problem is , Jimmy, but the links work for me.
I´m listening to Dafty & Clubby right now.....sounds good!

Hmm...the bass could be a wee bit higher..or just more bottom-end..minor thing.

I get HTTP404.

Since I won't register or log in to myspace.

I avoid popular sites on the internet.

Contact with my own species has always been a disappointment...........

Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Beneath The Sea...........Eloquently said by Captain Nemo.

Hey, this sounds just fine.
With the right singer, you´ll probably find a direction
more or less automatically.

Hmmm...Jimmy, this may be something with your isp, or settings on your browser.
I click the links provided, get the usual option of downloading or play, so I opt for play and winamp does it´s job..

Hmmm...never seen this side of you before...
I have read the book many times, and felt just the same as you.

Did you use your hardware synths as well or just the Pulsar DSP card and plugins?

What synths did you use in Moondust and Saturdays?

The String pads in Moondust and the Pulse width Lead in Saturdays specifically.

Aso the begining portamento sound in Dafty and Clubby was that using the Pulsar and plugin synths or your hardware synths? Which ones?

Drums using Pulsar Plugin?

I am new to Creamware and Sonic Core.

hi,
first, I also used the hardware synths.
saturdays is just a remix of delasouls a roller jam called saturdays.
but for the fx I used minimax, prodessey, and for the lead it is profit with a square lead + fx, the rhodes is evp 73

the strings in moondust comes from the saturn which is free to all pulsar users (very recommendable), it´s a remake of an Jupiter 6, but it doesn´t come close to a real Jup6 (I own one) respectively analog sounds, but it still very usable and has good sounds. the saturn reminds me little of the first virus.
Intro synth in dafty and clubby is NI absynth 2.

Drums are loops, samples, just what fits, I mainly use for drums NI Battery2.

greetings
stefan

Kewl thanks for the information. I have so many hardware synths new and vintage its not funny.

Oberheims, Prophets rev 1 and 2, Jupiter 8 and a lot of the mid year vintage up to modern VA and ROmpler synths.

Just got a Korg Oasys.

I am about to sell me JP8 and get my OBX, and Prohpets fixed then sell them.

Also want to sell my MAtrix 12. I have MAtrix 1000 , 4 of them and that good enough. I'll keep my OBXa and OB8. I also have the Jupiter rack 10 voice which basically can replace the JP8.

I also use VSTi's but all in all I am very satisfied with the oasys 88 Keyboard.
