Hi

I have a Pulsar II card and a Samson Servo 260 amp (no headphone out but a stereo phono line out)) I need to find the cheapest way of being able to listen using headphones as I am moving into a 'quiet' house. I don't really want to spend a lot and am wondering what the options are.

Cheers

a couple of things that are really cheap that will amplify headphones:

you could also connect to a home stereo preamp/receiver and use it's headphone amp(although it likely won't work as well)

Maybe it is too much for you to spend, but you could buy a used 3dsp card and use the stereo out jack. It is loud enough for me with my head phones. It might not be loud enough for you. It is not the professional solution, but ... you get to add 50% extra dsp power in the same move.

or find an old cassette deck player at a dump or a secondhand shop somewhere. Hit record and pause, and you have the cheapest headphone amplifier you can find :)
