Just bought a scope home card with a spdif connector on the mothercard..

There was no cable enclosed for the spdif. If i ask my retailer for a 3.5mm spdif cable, the tell me they never heard of it..

What kind of cable does it has to be??

- a two segment 3.5mm connecter on coax cable and on the other site 1 cinch?
- a 3 segment 3.5mm plug on coax and on the toher site 2 x cinch.

The manual does not give any clarification on this subject.

Please can somebody tell me what i exactly need for connection ??

two to two will be fine (spdif = Sony/Philips Digital InterFace something, with the well known 'hifi' pluggies).
Any spdif HiFi cable will work, but there are better ones on the market, made for for digital transmission, with better (gold coated) plugs and with cable that avoids reflections inside the cable.

a two to two cable can not work in my opinion..

The spdif on the cards site is input as well output for spdif.

So i think it has at least to be a 3.5mm with three segments based on coax, and on the other site two cinch connectors, one for input and one for output.


However an spdif cable based on 3.5mm on caox to 2 x cinch does not exist here in the netherlands.

All shops i contacted can not deliver it.

just use an adapter. mini phone stereo to 2 rca. it's quite common.
