Just saw John Cooper's final decision in the announcements. Let's just stop that thread right there, and make it a "publically supported" thread lock. I think letting his post stand as a period, is a cool way to show public support. And stopping the thread I mean not posting any more arguements there.

To people who have already posted, perhaps you could move it to this thread. Let's make this thread an "aftermath" thread.

yeah.. after all, I think time will be the solution. Things settle down, and I think we can get back to the usual Z fun things.. maybe the annual contests, etc... other things that can bring the community together. Remember the "my 5000th post" threads with people thanking each other for sharing knowledge and experience, and poster thanking John for great forum. That's the kind of thing I want to see brought back.

absolutely :-)
Yet I'd like to make this side note.
Some won't believe it so much, but for me the conflict was about the community...about independency (from any commercial interest) and freedom of speak (regarding all topics including 3rd party plugs).

The conflict at least has confirmed again those two principles.
John only needed one paragraph for that, at the end of the 'what to do' thread.

I'm not trying to share John into my fights, I just wanne point out that the responsibilities, rights and duties are completely clear again.
I'm glad with that fact :-)
Tiptoeing all day thrue a minefield to avoid a conflict or filling the threads with 'Love you...love you too!' isn't really attractive to me ;-)

Having said this, I share myself into your fight now:
I love you! :-D

Mr. A !!
You'd've had a great time in the Allman Brothers days. More JD was sold @ the clubs than in the liqour stores !
