That is awesome. I need to read on this one. I always thought that the big digi consoles could only use this GUI concept.

Lemur is an awsome piece of kit, but far from affordable even to project studios never mind home studios.

well, if it offers the 'play-ability' you're after then it's ok
you'd likely spend about the same amount on a guitar or bass if you demand something more than basic
imho it's also ok from the technology point of view
go to a shop and get a mini pc, a multitouch controller, a customized rugged yet small enclosure, hopefully good-looking, too...
mount everything, setup an OS to flash boot
write a graphic app that outputs controller data from objects, make it networkable
etc
probably even the basic parts will be in the 1.5 k Euro range
stock clearings from eBay do not count in this context...
cheers, Tom

My only complaint with it atm (from the one I played with) is the low resolution. If you see it in person you'll see what I mean. Conceptually and in use it's great, but I'm willing to wait a few years for the resolution increase. I just hope that it doesn't come with reduced cost / crappier construction, or if they do introduce lower levels they keep a high end unit on the market.
