about RTFM and other difficulties

Heya,
Three days ago I became the proud owner of a pulsar II and went through a lot of trouble to get it to do what I want. Since forums like this are a really useful source for knowledge and troublesshooting I wanted to go over the the points I thought were missing in the manuals.
BTW wouldn't it be useful to have a sticky forum without new posts that just contains the essence of newby questions and answers? This way somebody new to the hardware can find the starting information quickly?
This may really be trivial information for most people here, but it was crucial to me and took me a lot of time to figure out:
1. Stupid me: Drivers....
As somebody that is used to working with computers for ages, I tend to jump to conclusions rather than read carefully. The CD that comes with the ScopeFX contains two folders:
SCOPE
and
SCOPEFX
Since I bought a ScopeFX I thought: great, installed the stuff that was in the SCOPEFX folder and was really pissed as nothing worked. As it turned out later, the ScopeFX folder contains the drivers and some application for the card, and the Scope Folder itself has all the software to let the board actually make a sound.
2. The routing stuff is pretty easy to figure out but here is what I thought is missing:
To be able to use SFP properly with Cubase SX3 you have to add a couple of ASIO sources and destinations (click on the source or dest rectangle and change the number). FIRST do that, then start up cubase. In cubase press F4 to get to the VST Device Window and add the newly created busses. Now you can route them back and forth.
As I said, this is trivial information, but I had a hard time to figure this out on my own, maybe it helps somebody.

Oh and: would anybody be able to tell me what the difference in the drivers is between win2k and PCI_win2k ??
