B@Mach in progress

edit 27-12-06:
new version (added two loops, extremely eq'd).

I had to send in my Elektron Machinedrum, as it was behaving weird (freezes and even spontaniously flash-installing the system).
Befor I actually did that, I created one pattern, and played with the mute function while recording it.

I added an Absynth, a D'cota and a drumloop (filtered dark), to see if the drumtrack will work.

It's rather static, as I didn't any animation yet, just arranging parts.

It's just an idea to start from when the machinedrum is back :-)
By holidays it will take longer than normal (I reckon on at least on 4 weeks), so I didn't want to wait so long :-)

It started as a remix of my B@Love track which I posted some while ago.
Therefor the 6/8 bar trick by D'cota is again doing something, but I have to look at that much closer.
just want to keep that in the remix, as it's recognizable, independantly from the sound :-)
It needs a bass yet tho :-)

(light mastering is involved).

cheers.

The song sounds very interesting and complex. I would be interested to see the results of its animation. :-)

Sweet rhythms going on in here hubird :)

Is there going to be any instrumentation in here later, or is this going to stay drum based? I'm interested to hear more later.

yes. is there a basic planetz function to let huub's work go directly in a local disk party folder? lovely minimal stuff. of course it could stay like this but, have you thought about subtle arabic melodies or ambiances on this? sort of smackmybitchuperize it a bit. love it

YES, I'd like that!

I definitely want to find kind of a hook for it, some stab or otherwise melodical thing.
Thanks for the kind words, encouraging:-)
Ah, wish my Machinedrum was back :-)

Yup - very nice indeed . . .

Nice and interesting little "spaces" floating in and out of your beats.

You said you were looking for a hook - have you tried messing about with Ragga Stylee progressions?

Something like C Db E - - F G Ab ( B ) might work for a bass or arped line in any case (?)

welcome . . .
might not be of any use - your beats just reminded me of that.
Happy experimenting

Not as instantly appealing as B@Love but I agree with other comments and take my hat off to you Huub.

Excellant Polyrhythms My Friend,
Might I suggest a microtonal approach with the hook line. I have an excellant Ancient Strings, Winds, and Horns DVD called Origins. It is awesome for finding that perfect instrument that no one else uses. I just find a preset I like, then add microtonality tuning to it in GS3 Orchestra, and Viola.
The recently released Budweiser commercial they play during NFL games on Monday here stateside has a similar approach. It is a rap / world genre I guess, but it makes me want to bang my girl and drink a Bud, so the hook is important, and I guarenfuckintee ( reckon ) the young cat who raps and recorded this is quite fat, as Anheiser-Busch has an extreme cash flow. Wow,... that gave me an idea,.................................................
My cash flow is extreme,...My dress code is supreme.

Happy New Year, Seasons Beatings, etc.
