Grenzfrequenz Synchrotron pattern steps problem?

Can Grenzfrequenz Synchrotron users advise me if they have the same problem as I do?:-

Create two patterns with different step lengths (for example one pattern with 16 steps and one with 3 steps). Now switch between these patterns using the pattern switching by midi key option. Do the step lengths always appear and work as they should? As far as I can tell, they do not. Sometimes, when switching to a pattern, the step lenghts are correct but other times, they appear and work as the default 16 steps. Very frustrating. I am using Version 1.3.1c and the last update (after doing a Planetz forum search) seemed to be quite sometime ago and only fixed the no audio problem. Nowhere can I find any mention of problems with pattern step length.
