Hello Planet Dwellers questions
When installing a scope card in a windows xp pc is it better to let xp handle the installling of the scope driver or to do it manually by finding the driver yourself from the SFP installation disk? XP has the scope driver in its database of drivers but but does anyone know if it is the most current or stable driver?
The reason i ask these questions is i have a problem when audio app's load up i get these pops like when spdif syncs, that kind of pop and and it only happens during the startup of those programs after its started no more noise of any kind. I am thinking this is a drive issue but that is just my guess.
Has anyone had a problem like this?

I get that right at the beginning of windows when the startup project's kicked in.I use the Z-link for the Luna 24/96.I don't worry it's normal.

Thanks H-rave, so thats just a scope thing hunh, i was thinking it may have been some type of install issue. I guess the workaround is to load up everything you need before you turn on your monitors, thats not a big thing.

It's strongly recommended in the manual. You should always at last switch your monitors on and at first switch them off ...
Other soundcards make much more pops and noise during switching.

AFAIK it's the sound of the digital sync kicking into action. It's not an issue as long as you don't already have headphones on & set up to monitor through a headphone amp. (IE it shouldn't damage your speakers)

Thanks again guys for all of your advice and suggestions, Herr Voigt i do remember reading that but i was thinking this meant wait until the computer loads SFP and when thats done i could turn them on but it seems i need to just wait one extra step and start my audio app then turn on .
Shroomz it does sound like something syncing the thing that concerned me most was as you mentioned damage to the speakers, its a pretty mean pop, thank God i never had headphones on.
