in my case that i use 2 midi controllers i cannot
play with nuendo synths vst or other within nuendo and play one synth on the 1 midi controller and other synth with the 2nd midi controller.
nuendo shows me midi channel coosing but it seems like it does not make any difference.
example:
i have a piano with reason3 rewired and play it throu a midi channel in nuendo.
if i put a vst instrument there is no way to play this instrument with the other keyboard.
both keyboards play both instruments if they are selected to play or record.
i am confused.
scopes routing window has 2 midi sources from my 2 scope cards. i connect them to midi sequencer dest.
what else should i do?

i select different midi channel numbers or ALL but there is no difference.
all midi channels play the same, no matter if my 1st keybord sends channel1 and my 2nd keyboard sends channel2.
i thought that if i choose channel 2 for example in a midi channel then it should only receive data drom my 2nd keyboard. but NO.

still i cannot make it.
i think it is reasonable to select creamware midi 2, but in that case even if it is seen in nuendo, only creamware midi 1 in/out works.
:-?

nuendo does not allow to select the input midi channel, but just the midi input port and the midi channel is referred to the output.

If your midi hardware is connected to scope midi port, you can add a sequencer midi dest for each hardware device, then connect a midi filter to each of the sequencer midi dest filtering all unwanted midi channels, for example:
seq midi dest 1, filter all channel exept channel 1
seq midi dest 2, filter all channels exept channel 2
and so on

then in nuendo enable several midi tracks each one with a different midi input port, for example:
creamware midi in/out1
creamware midi in/out 2
and so on

in this way you will be able to set your midi gear to different midi channels and you will be able to control separately your vst instruments.

p.s. for adding several sequencer midi dest, you must enable the max number from win xp control panel under scope driver settings (just in case..)

yes djmicron. thats it.
but it seems so uncomfortable.
looks like i have to keep always in touvh with scopes routing window.
and if i whant to add another vst then i should add some more filters and seq dests.
well ok.
i use 4 lcd monitors thanks to to matrox triplehead2go and i dedicate 1 lcd for routing window.
thanks.
