I have just reinstalled Windows, and I am now in the process of installing SCOPE 4.5.

I click the setup-icon and get a window telling me the driver isn't installed and that I should install it over the device manager or something along these lines. At the same time the option "Install Driver" comes available, which is why I press it, and then I reboot my computer.

And then this error window pops up "Windows - No Disk: There is no disk in the drive. PLease insert a disk into drive . 'Cancel' ' Try Again' 'Continue' "

And no matter what I do it just keeps on reapearing even after a reboot!?

Any ideas? I don't know what the H... is going on - All I know is that it happened right in the process of installing Scope 4.5 on a completely fresh installation of Windows.

the driver must be installed before you can install scope.
as far as the error message goes, i assume that windows is looking for the 4.5 disk that the driver file was on. since the disk was there when the reboot started, windows wants to see it to finish it's process. i've seen that behavior before. if it's not that, then i don't know. i'd just start over.

yes - you are right.

The main problem seemed to be that I have the setup-files placed on a second HDD on my computer, which Windows couldn't find after the reboot.

All I had to do was to make sure the Creamware driver ws installed. Then restart the setup file, and then click the retry-option in the error window.

I've had the same issue with the Pulsar/Scope environment since day 1.

In my case, I believe it involved empty jaz & zip drives connected on SCSI bus.
In fact, whenever I try to load up 'Search Options' from Scope, it still prompts me the very same message.
I just 'Continue' through it twice (I'd assume once for jaz & once for zip) and it's all good.
If I don't feel like dealing with the message, I just load a disk onto each drive and voila! No more 'No Disk' promts!

Most recently, I've had the same issue with my cruzer mini USB drive.
With the USB drive, it seems to be an issue only during installation.
That, I just unplug the drive during installation process & once Scope is in, I don't have to bother with it again.
