the LC is tuned closer to (self)resonance for longer decays and partially to distortion, so the difference is kind of exaggerated.
It should still be obvious that the sound character of the 2 filters is very different.

LC means a coil and a capacitor are the resonance element
in the RC design resistors and capacitors build a resonance network

A very retro and punchy drum machine sound. Loved the bass. These are all 808 sounds.

it's a Hohner Rhythm 80 I got for 25 bucks on eBay...
I'll probably abuse it's acrylic sheet holder for pots to replace the trimmers on the circuit board.

but you're right that I 'detuned' it somewhat into a more contemporary direction...

the outer (brighter) bars are indeed a Boss/Roland machine, a DR110 - unmodified, but needs some tweaking - recently it's very sensible to supply voltage, probably worn out caps.

I haven't had the time to look at the circuit of the hohner in detail, but since it seems to mix it's voices into one single out it might also be used as a filter box when a signal is fed to it...
