And as I got comfortable with the different keys, I found myself mixing and matching more than I used to. I mean, i always liked parallel movements that span accross different keys, but this song focuses on it.

The overall key is definitely Bb, but with healthy diversions.

Also, this is a reflection of my new workflow. Start composing after work around 7 or 8, use the speakers 'till just befor 10, and switch to my akg240s. So, the last I heard was from headphones. Will be checking on speakers tomorrow.

switched to a more treble friendly mixing approach:

basically, the first one had much more base prior to saturation treatment. I like the warm, fuller mid-lows on the first mix, it has a sense of stability.. but I guess for smaller systems it's very weak on the treble and sounds unbalanced. I guess I may need to some psyQ processing to get better treble on smaller speakers. Seems like EQ isn't cutting it.

nice work as always Ken!
Always been loving your stuff - got a great vibe - i've just been listening on my poxy laptop speakers.. seems to me through them that you have a serious stereo widener on there, i could be wrong (often am!)

you know what the crazy problem was.. I think it's because I encoded to 64bit!!!! Kinda like the lo-fi sound tho. No wonder I kept on loosing the highs..

yeah, I think new york is good for many people.

Newest version, updated the mix: 128bit mp3 encoded definitely help. lol. Spiced it up a bit with psyQ. The stereo widening is from psyQ. Had some glitches during the record tho.
