Creamware Klangboxes: Knobless virtual analog synthesizersBy James Grahame
Related: Creamware, DSP, MIDI, USB, virtual analog & more
Matrixsynth and sequencer.de have blown the cover on an upcoming series of rackmount ASB synth modules from Creamware. Apparently, ¢æ444 will get you a 1U rack unit that contains the heart and soul (well, just the electronic bits¡¦) of either the Minimax, Pro12, or Prodyssey virtual analog synths. Each device features a power switch, blue LED power light, and MIDI/USB connectors on its backside. Presumably, they¡¯ll be programmed using a softsynth-like interface running on your PC or Mac.

is this scope usb version?

Yes, it's true. ASB machines reduced to the max for a very cool price.

Hopefully they will allow the SFP-view someday. I see no real gain if they are specific for ONE instrument. Would be quite nice though to be able to buy licenses for different instruments for ONE box.

Best thing would be open architecture like SFP. I want to load my devices on Laptop ;o)))

Give us some specs for that "player", a price for the machine and the software licenses. How many could be sold in a period? Numbers.

If you didn't mind making it a *little* more expensive, you could add one or two more DSPs and make it multi-timberal, yet still be cheaper than the regular ASB boxes....
