site updated,
check it out, hopefully it helps someone...
There are also some Urei soundsamples.
http://home.arcor.de/soundspace2/
I also added a modular section...
There is a small gimmick for you to check out. Nothing ultra special. But my first contact with Creamware ModularIII.
best regards

You missed an "of" in "It generally does allow you to change the amount compression and it also is some kind of replacement for the missing threshold parameter."

Thanks Kymeia

This site is coming along nicely hifiboom. Lots of info, and, more importantly sound examples! Not enough sound examples of creamware gear in action on the net.

Yeah this was the idea behind the site...
Not a full-featured review or exact explanation of the tools... Everybody can easily download the manuals from Creamware servers. And there are already some reviews on the net.
But what is really missing are good audio demos...
Even the few Creamware ASB sound demos are not that representative, I think.
Basically I had 3 ideas in mind when starting this site :
- compare the Scope tools with the real thing and native world
- give Scope users the possibility to check plug-ins, they do not own and wanna buy
- give non-Scope users the possibility to check out the sound of Scope ( not long ago I was in same situation )
By the way: Its a shame that the Modular III MRC is not fully customizable...
It would be real fun to make the synths look like the real thing with nice GUI and cool knobs etc.
Once you`ve finished a modular patch its really nice to have the most important buttons, knobs and other things on a clean an easy to use surface. The MRC idea is nice, but it could get even better.
Hey Creamware: what about ModularIV with MRCII and integrated Flexor1 and 2. That would get some kind of new standard.
cheers...

hifiboom,
just a little comment. you call the drum loops dry, but they are wet

respective there's a lot of ambience. i think it would be more interesting to hear the difference in a "real" dry drum loop. i think it would be more practical that way because i don't want to compress the ambiance... but else, keep going!

If we talk about compressors here, then for me "dry" is the word for unprocessed. (without the compressor)
If i talk about reverbs, dry does mean without reverb.
Is there a rule that does not allow me to put a compressor on something with light ambiance?

yes, yes, i know that we're talking about compressors and not reverbs, that's why i put a smiley at the end of the sentence.

but sorry for being ironic, that's my style of humour...
however, i only wanted to say that i would like to hear some examples without ambience too, that's all. And of course there's no rule, you can do whatever sounds good for your personal taste and style of music...

I will look on that. Maybe I`ll add some more sounds.
