ASB Patch Database for all devices?

There is a topic on this forum regarding a SoundProject for PRO-12 ASB users.

Rather than just look at patches for the PRO-12, wouldn't it be good to have a patch area for all ASB/Klangbox Devices, including Minimax, B4000, PRO-12 and of course the stunning Prodyssey.

Would be fun listening to what Patches others are doing with their ASB's and create inspiration/templates for new sounds. How often do you hear someone elses patch and think, mmm if I just tweaked this and altered that it would fit in with this song over 'ere or inspire a new song completly?

That is of course if people want to share!

"Doncha wish your ASBwas just like me, doncha".

Ok, I will go first!

I enclose one of my edited User Banks. Please note that the version included is before the Glide was fixed on the PRO-12 so may need some tweaking.

The first couple of patches are 4 semitones out, but by being out they sound so sweet. I normally adjust by transposition settings in Cubase. Just listening to the first few patches makes me want to blubber!

I hope someone gets some inspiration and am looking forward to other people submitting theirs.

Hey these are some great resources, and they would benefit the non-ASB users of the same synths. I've really started taking a liking to the Prodyssey! Wish I had an ASB version of it too :D

I setup the original thread with the idea other people would share their asb dumps of their sounds. although others not want to share.

for me these resources have helped my own voyage into the pro-12 and prodyssey, so trying to share my findings. in the meantime I can look at some wicked hairstyles. Their heads must have been so heavy and hot!

A source of different approaches to developing patches

Hi Le Bone:

I think is a good idea to share patches, but maybe it could be more than this. Let me explain:

I was thinking that sometimes I could develop a patch from an idea, but sometimes I get stuck up in the middle of the development, guessing how to finalize the idea.
However, I don’t know how to solve some technical issue, because I get stuck thinking “inside the box” and I can’t see different approaches to the problem.

More than to share the patches, It would be great to post them with the explanation of the final desired sound and the limitations that stop us.

Maybe someone in the forum could come up with answers.

In this way, this forum could become an excellent library of solutions on patch development with our ASB boxes (Pro-12 in my case).

What do you think???

Best regards

Hi edautana,

If you find that help then I think it would be a good idea especially for those new to subtractive synthesis. However, I have used these sort of synths for 26 years and still wonder "how did they do that?" with certain synths.

So with each patch you really would like a notes section. In effect it would be very similar to the notes on the original Oddysey Manual (download on here).

The PRO-12 is very cool and is one of my favourite synths. It can sound very dirty! I will send you some patches and notes on how I did them.

The First patch uses Poly mod to enduce noise into as FM to the oscillator. With a touch of lfo modulation, the whole things sounds like a very unstable organ with some emotion.

This is an old set of patches, so the portamento on them is way off after the fixes to Creamwares DSP OS.
