the first step in my scholastics at the SAE was taken last friday.

The task for the final examination was to make a video trailer for the game Need For Speed Most Wanted(TM).

Anyway, I switched to another direction and built a small story that plays in the city of Rockport. Rockport is a huge city, the scene where the whole game plays in.

I had only three days to compose and cut the whole audio( two music tracks, some voice recordings, audio from the game)

The project brought me much, I never combined video, green screen recordings, 3D modelling and audio stuff together.

Song link goes to the second music track of the movie. My first work in logic express on a MAC.

Here is the heavy compressed video, you need divx codecs to play it. 38mb in size.
Also the whole work on the video is done on a MAC(except the butterfly).

I am really green to this kind of projects, so please be patient

Maybe the files are 48kHz, so you have to change your samplerates, also I haven´t got time to make a precise mastering of the whole audio in the vid.

Hi Chris, we listened to this while someone was playing the actual game here

First impressions are that it sounds REALLY cool, but maybe not quite 'upbeat' enough for NFS. It's got quite a sort of 'Floyd' like ambience which sounds great, but is maybe lacking some energy for the game in question? Not 100% sure though, what do you think?

Agreed to you shroomz.
It´s absolutly not an usual nfs track.
But it was planed as it is, because I have 24 other students in my class and I guess 95 percent of them used those upright beats we know.
Also I know the taste of music that is liked by the person that judges the projects

Together with the video I like it but it is a bold mixture agreed.

Ok, so you have alterior motives  I think that's ok in this context!! After all, your success in the SAE course is important in this respect!

Best wishes,
Shroomz

Like the track very much Chris, but when I play the video file, I only get audio; no video (and that's after installing the latest divx bundle - v6.4).

Any ideas why that might be?

Counterparts - if you're oon a Mac... then try this:

http://perian.org/

I also have Flip4mac installed - so I'm not sure which one is working for me or if they are working in combination - but I have no problem playing any video format I have come across so far... including the divx files that usually gave me the same symptoms as you are experiencing with this file - i.e sound only with a white video.

I don´t have a glue Royston, sorry.
Thanks for the perian thing, maybe this will work.

If nothing helps give me a sign and I´ll upload the vid with another codec used.

The vid fulfilled the guidelines and brought me an A, 1, or 100 percent.
Anyway it´s not so special.

Thanks for your replies.
