Hello there!

I've just purchased the modular3 synth, but it seems to be an upgrade of the m2 version: most of the basic modules needed to load patches aren't available...

I tried to cut the missing files from the M2 folder and paste them to the M3's, but when trying to load those "undedicated" modules, SFP keeps asking for activation keys i cannot give...

Was I supposed to get the M2 activation keys when purchasing the next version of the synth ? Can anyone help ?

Thanks from a newbie.

Hi,

In fact m3 isn't an update - it's a bunch of new, different modules in addition to m2. Also, m3 provides a new shell (the one with the front panel with assignable knobs and custom background), but far most people I know, including myself, stick to using the m2 shell.

So m2 isn't required per se to use m3 modules and shell, but m2 contains many basic modules which are really indispensible when working with m2. Maybe check your My Page again, in case you have m2 already...

Enjoy your modular!

at0m.

Well ... Cannot load any patch delivered with the M3!(SFP keeps on asking me for activation keys). Thought those patches needed M2 modules, but they obviously don't... Bizarre!

Thanks for your explanations!

Not yet... Juste received an email with the keys for ModIII (which don't appear yet on my 'my page').

I've found a topic in the Modular area of this forum, written by a pulsarian who had met the same problem. He didn't know that the ModII was registered for one of his cards (hadn't noticed it on his registration keys page), and having Mod II installed before installing Mod III was the key.

I've sent an email to creamware's team, to know wether it was possible or not to download a full archive of the Mod III synth anywhere, containing the old modules and the new ones, or to have Mod II activated for my cards...

Thanks for your help!

Nope.

I own 3 linked cards (pulsar I, Pulsar XTC and luna II), scope 4 and a large bunch of plugins but I still need the keys for ModII to have my ModIII fully working.

Waiting for creamware's team answer...

Did they send the allkeys.skf file or just the mod III key.

Remi :J'ai juste reçu le code pour le modular III par mail, pas le nouveau allkeys.inf.

I only recieved the code for the Mod III by mail, but not the allkeys.skf file.

Send an e-mail to Creamware support and ask for the Allkeys file, that would be the easiest.Give the soundcard serial no. and your nickname and they'll send you the file .I think that's the best Idea,They're usually quite fast.

I'e sent an e-mail to the webmaster; If I don't have a response on monday I'll follow your advice, hoping that the mod III will be unlocked.

Thanks for you advice.

Piddi : keeping it english will probably help other users as well

En le gardant en anglais ça pourrait aider autres utlisateurs aussi.

Happy !!!!.

The problem is solved!

The mod 2 synth has been activated for my card, allowing me to have all the modules available.

It seems to be the only way to have one's mod 3 fully working...

Thanks for your help. And thanks to the one who cared about my mails (don't know if it was "webmaster","support" or ralf)
