For some reason I find that VDAT is locking up Scope when I try to create a tape or change anything with the settings menu. I've had no trouble before. Should I reload the oxe file and try again. Anybody else have the same problem....?

I've not had this problem, but if I did, what I'd do is move the current VDAT tapes to a new location & then recreate them from VDAT in a blank or basic project.

Brotha'Man Crick,
How's Blue Tubes? I upgraded to 3.12 and have lost some of my plugs compatabilities. i.e. The excellant chorus pedal plug doesn't work anymore. I gave up and just use GS3 4 sample playback only. I do use the extremely nice pedal down resonance from Gigapulse though as it is great 4 acoustic instrument body impulses. I will follow your VDAT thread as I am going to start recording with it 4 pre production rehearsals.

Crickstone, the system will be busy for a while when creating the tape. Laying out the files on disk takes a bit of time, after that (you can watch the files being created from explorer) things should run real smooth...

Well that makes sense, I hope it is just my impatience that is the trouble. I should think back to the time when I had to wait for an analog tape to rewind to the beginning before hitting record! Thanks

So that no one makes the same dumb mistake as I...my folder for creating a new tape was opening and then disappearing behind my routing window, and of course Scope hadn't locked up at all, the folder was open and waiting for me. All is well again and my stupidity seems to be my greatest hurdle..

Great to hear
Vdat is rock solid here.
